Tom Ortenzio Push-Up Fundraiser in support of PA Hero Walk
07/21/2018 02:00 PM - 3:00 PM

My name is Tom Ortenzio. I am going to be doing another push-up fundraiser in support of PA hero walk in conjunction with Donald Androsky at Lake View Yacht Club in Wrightsville Pennsylvania on July 21, 2018. We have a goal of raising $5000.

This fundraiser will be held at Lake Clarke Rescue Picnic Grounds

I am going to attempt to do 80 push-ups in 80 seconds or less in honor of Donald Androsky and Cook Hershey, two of my veteran friends that are going to be 80 years old this year.

A Change in the PA Hero Walk Philosophy

Since the first PA Hero Walk in 2009, the group has raised and given the Wounded Warrior Project hundreds of thousands of dollars and have helped many veterans with their efforts. In the winter of 2013 the group decided to make a change in 2014 and dedicate their fundraising efforts to focus on Pennsylvania veterans from all branches and from all eras. Since this change the group has has received unanimous accolades for their decision to keep the money raised in Pennsylvania to help Pennsylvania veterans. The PA Hero Walk has rasied over $1.8 Million to date for our veterans.

The group continues to emphasize helping individual veterans that need help in the following areas listed below.

  • HOUSING
  • FOOD
  • CLOTHING
  • CAR AND HOME REPAIR
  • APPLIANCE PUCHASE OR REPAIR
  • UTLITY PAYMENTS
  • AUTO PURCHASE

If you know of a Pennsylvania veteran in need of help, please refer them to their County Veterans Affairs Director or our website at PAHEROWALK.COM
